RGHS Health Cover Extended to Contractual Government Employees

The Rajasthan government has extended the benefits of the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS) to contractual and daily-wage government employees across all departments. Previously available only to regular government servants, the scheme will now cover approximately 3.2 lakh contractual employees and their families.

Under RGHS, employees and retirees get cashless treatment at over 600 empanelled hospitals across Rajasthan and all major cities in India. The scheme covers hospitalisation, surgery, diagnostics, and post-discharge treatment with no upper limit for specified serious diseases.

Included in the Extension

• Contractual teachers and education department staff
• Para-medical staff employed on contract
• Police constables on contractual terms
• Panchayat employees and NREGA supervisors

How to Register

Eligible employees need to submit their Jan Aadhaar number and department ID proof to their DDO. Beneficiary cards will be issued within 30 days. For queries, call the RGHS helpline: 1800-180-6127 (toll-free).
